Condolence: Jean, we are saddened to read of Hembree's death. I have many memories of our times in Winona when you guys lived behind us and we taught at WHS and commuted to State pursuing our master's degrees. The cars were not all air condidtioned then and we had some hot rides. Later I was delighted to cross paths with you two again in Clarksdale. We will keep you in our thoughts.

Condolence: To the Brandon family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to end all suffering. Before long, God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things (will) have passed away.”(Rev. 21:1-5). May this promise from God give you comfort now and a real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.

Condolence: I was a scientist at Stoneville for 30 years, and had the great privilege to cross paths with Hembree on numerous occasions. He was a stalwart in Midsouth agriculture, and the best writer I knew. I always read his columns--they were always humorous and well-written. And he was never afraid to "say it like it is" no matter who it might upset. He will be missed by all who knew him in the agriculture industry, and his great penmanship will be sorely missed. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your loved one.
